Deep Listening Room

.

The Deep Listening Room is a space for sound exploration, an intimate container to experience DJ sets without other sensory distractions, something we rarely find available in London.

Held on select Saturday evenings, each session invites a new artist to explore the spectrum of sound, allowing you to study the layers of electronic music in an intentional way. As you lye down, be transported by various frequencies to other landscapes. Not only listen through your ears but also listen through the body, feel how different sounds affect you and let sounds influence your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies throughout the session. We encourage DJs to go beyond ambient, somethings selecting tracks that might be suitable for the dance floor and allowing a stationary audience to experience these tracks in an unfamiliar state. Having the opportunity to listen in this way often provides people with a profound and expansive experience of sound unlike anything else.

The Deep Listening Room is curated in a way for you to be with sound in it's purest way. Before we start the session, we offer you CommonRoots cacao to stimulate the system, then invite you to take a cosy bed and pillow to be comfortable throughout. We begin with a short meditation to bring you into the body before the 60-90min deep listening starts. At the end we make time to integrate, connect, share and hear from others about what they experienced.

Everything we do at Om Being is about craving out ways for connection and community to come to the surface, remembering this dimension to being human amongst the every evolving and machine-led world we live in.
