Resident Workshops

.

Our resident workshops offer practitioners and participants a regular container to explore the intersect between, movement, sound, metaphysics and creative arts.

At Om Being we don't just want to curate workshops, we also want to learn from them each time, creating a space for dialogue between the practice, it's practitioners and participants, actively feeding into an evolving pool of research, a process to discover new possibilities in each field.

Reflections are shared on each session page below.

  • Getting Upside Down +

Getting Upside Down: Learning The Art of Inversions
    w/ Gaby Conn

These sessions will be a deep dive into everything ‘inversion’. Covering pincha, handstand, crow variations, and headstand, we will learn the techniques and drills to get us confident, comfortable, and acclimatised to inverting.

In regular classes, we often don’t have time to break these poses down, which means we can keep hitting walls in our practice and are unsure of how to progress. These workshops will equip you with the knowledge and understanding to finally break through those walls, and unlock the joy, fun, and physical benefits to be found upside down.

(Suitable for yogis with a solid, regular practice, who feel strong in a plank and a dolphin pose. Not advised for people starting out their yoga journey.)

  • Psychedelic Soul Shower +

    w/ Valentina Opler

Earth reality is very much a school for learning how to master one’s emotions without suppressing or controlling them, and sound can act as a major catalyst in this quest.

We all have the capacity to tune into that place in our consciousness where we can continuously experience bliss, peace, and the purity of our own heart.

Experience a sonic soul shower that will take you on an alchemising psychedelic journey to bring coherence and harmony back into your energetic field through sound.

The experience will also include a Wavepaths music journey. Wavepaths is a generative music software born from the research of neuroscientist Mendel Kaelen, together with Brian Eno, in the psychedelic department at Imperial College LND, for music as psychedelic therapy. The resonance of structured music will facilitate psychic movement akin to a psychedelic trip, complementing the restorative effect of the pure frequencies of sound healing instruments.

Combining the power of ancient and new sonic technologies, this workshop will cleanse your aura and soothe your mind, bringing coherence and harmony back into your energetic field while taking you on a trip inside your own heart.

  • Circles : Improvised Movement +

    w/ Lea Oroz

The improvisation movement workshop invites participants to explore the body through guided tasks, beginning with an in-depth focus on the spine. By deconstructing the spine into cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions, participants will discover greater mobility and space. The workshop emphasises circular movements both within and outside the body, encouraging fluidity and connection.

Sound and structured tasks will serve as essential tools in guiding the experience, fostering deeper awareness of bodily patterns. This dynamic approach helps participants attune to their physicality, enhancing both their range of movement and their understanding of how sound interacts with the body.
